Greetings, Dot Commanders!
The warfront keeps evolving — and so does War of Dots: Last Stand! Version 0.1.4 is here, bringing major tactical improvements, smarter unit behavior, and the first glimpse of large-scale strategic warfare. This update focuses on control, intelligence, and immersion — let’s dive right in!
⚙️ New Gameplay Features
🎖️ Unit Assignment to Generals You can now assign units to generals! This system allows you to organize and control your army much more efficiently. Selecting and commanding your troops is now faster and clearer — no more chaos, just strategy and precision.
🧠 Smarter Formation Deployment When ordering your units to form a line, they’ll now spread out intelligently, moving to the closest available positions instead of random spots. Formations look cleaner, behave smarter, and react faster to your commands.
🏙️ City (Flag) Mode — In Development Work has officially started on the City Mode (Flag System)! This upcoming feature introduces multiple cities or flags across the map, each representing strategic points to capture and defend. It’s the foundation of a larger-scale campaign system that will bring new depth and purpose to every battle.
⚔️ AI & Combat Improvements
🧩 Smarter AI Logic & Strategy AI behavior has been refined — enemies now act with improved tactical awareness, positioning themselves better and responding more intelligently to player actions. Expect more challenging and realistic engagements.
🐎 Enemy Cavalry Rebalance Enemy cavalry has been rebalanced to ensure fairer, more dynamic encounters. They now pose a real threat without being overwhelming — perfecting the balance between power and counterplay.
💥 Enhanced Visual Effects Battlefields now feel even more alive with upgraded effects and animations. From dust trails to impact flashes, every clash feels more intense and satisfying.
🧭 Additional Fixes & Tweaks
Pathfinding Fixes: Units now navigate more reliably, avoiding awkward detours and collisions.
Unit Numbering & Size Indicators: Units now display both numeric identification and army size markers using “X” symbols.
Unit Stop Command (H): Press H to instantly halt selected units — simple, fast, effective.

The next versions will expand the City/Flag system, refine AI coordination, and introduce new unit types to deepen the strategic layer even further. Expect continued polish, balance improvements, and smarter battlefield behavior across the board.
